Dermatica was founded in 2018 by Dwayne D’Souza. He felt that high-quality, dermatology-recommended, evidence-based prescription skincare was out of reach for the vast majority of the population. He created Dermatica to change this.

Dr Catriona Maybury

Dr Catriona Maybury is a Consultant Dermatologist, working as Medical Director for Dermatica and also practising at St George’s Hospital. Having completed her specialty training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology (Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital), she then completed a PhD from King’s College London, studying the causes of liver scarring in people with severe psoriasis. With a special interest in medical dermatology and research, Catriona is passionate about making evidence-based, effective skin treatment accessible to as many people as possible. Here at Dermatica she oversees our treatments’ formulations and their effectiveness. Catriona also manages our clinical team of doctors, pharmacists and nurse practitioners.
